SD Worx advertises on Enchanté.
March 27, 2007
The great people at Jobat are running a campaign for SD Worx on Enchanté. The ad is a beautiful 160x150px extendable containing a video. I am wondering, if you had to choose between this ad or a static print job-ad …
.
You can see the ad in action on the blogs of some of our sweet members: Asfaltkonijn (winner Jobat award on BWards), Web.2point0, Creativeskills, Jelle Druyts, Lowagie, Lvb, Marketing Interactive, 7 seconden, Forret, Bvlg and Zog.org (winner best personal blog on BWards).

Blogs vs. Trusted Source.
March 26, 2007
Enchanté provides a platform for advertisers to advertise on blogs. A while ago we received a remark from fishtank.be that several advertisers are wondering if ‘Blogs can be considered a trusted source?’. Can you consider a personal blog as a trusted source? The answer is simple: No.
But an important remark needs to be made. Regular visitors of blogs experience blogs and their content as trusted sources, this could explain why the campaigns we have been running on blogs in our network get good results.

Ads that are shown on blogs are intrusive, but are not experienced as thus, due to the relationship between the blogger and the visitor.
It is essential when creating a portfolio of blogs and making them available to advertisers that the final decision to show an ad is on the bloggers’ side. If a blogger does not want to show an ad, you don’t.
Lets say, hypothetically, an ad that the blogger does not want to show, would be shown, a bad campaign result could be expected. Why? It would be an ad that the blogger does not like and probably a large part of his visitors wouldn’t either. The platform would lose one of its main advantages, the trust-relation between the blogger and his audience.

Bwards 2006.
March 24, 2007
Last night the Bwards 2006 (yes, 2006) took place in ‘het paleis’ in Antwerp. The Belgian (flemmish?) oscars for blogs. And the winners were:
- best groupblog: Gent Blogt
- best lifeblog: Michel Vuijlsteke
- best photoblog: Wannabes
- blogkoekoek (?!): Appelogen
- highest pagerank: Netlash
- job-at award: Asfaltkonijn
I think most of these do not come as a surprise. But congratulations to the winners and the organization.
We saw this event as a chance to launch the new name of our blog network. People used ‘Adhese’ (the name of our complete online advertising solution) and ‘Adhese Network’ (yups, we are living in a network world) as a name. Last night we launched the name ‘Enchanté‘. As in:
“Mr/Mrs Advertiser may I present you to Mr/Mrs Blogger.”
“Mr/Mrs Blogger may I present you to Mr/Mrs Advertiser.”
“Enchanté!”
First nice fact for Enchanté is that we can offer 4 out of the 6 winners of the Bwards to advertisers.
Back to the name. How do you launch a name to bloggers. After considering different options we decided to do this with badges. Bloggers are messenger bag people, and messenger bag people love badges (well, I do). We (kezako manufactured them) made 4 badges, in a plastic bag with some cards that bloggers could pass on to potential advertisers.
The badges:

And the card.

If you missed these and still want to receive them, drop us a note. We have some leftovers and would be happy to send them out.

Statuscheck.
March 23, 2007
Well, as expected, not a lot is being posted here. A lot of work is keeping us from posting stuff. But hey, don’t panic, we won’t let this blog die.
Stupid me, maybe I should introduce myself first. I am stefan, one of the four members of the Adhese team. I joined the Adhese team 5 weeks ago. In a previous life I was a QA coordinator at Artwork Systems (solutions for the graphical industy).
The past five weeks I have been digging into the world of online advertising and I am beginning to see the light (no, I am not at the end of the tunnel or on lsd). During this learning process I have been redesigning the Adhese website (that will be online soon I hope) and preparing some stuff for different events (the presentation (pdf) @ IAB’s netcafé and some gifts for tonight’s Bwards).
Well, it was nice meeting you, like the French say: Enchanté.
